How do you go dogsledding in the summer when there is no snow?
Dog sled training in the summer is tough without snow. We use specially built carts for summer runs and fall training. The dogs get the opportunity to stay in shape by pulling the carts, which makes them happy.
Can I drive the cart?
The musher knows his dogs the best and drives the cart. Flying down the trail in a cart powered by sled dogs is a thrill you won’t soon forget.
How many dogs will be on a run?
Typically, each musher will be using a team of 10 – 12 sled dogs
How many people ride at one time?
Usually there are 6. Our carts are capable of carrying additional folks but we prefer to keep groups as small as possible so you can spend time the musher and sled dogs.
What time of year do you operate and when should I make a reservation?
We operate May through September in Juneau, Alaska. Spaces fill quickly and you should make reservations as early as possible.
