Teale Wood was born into a Mushing family in Colorado. 

She has spent all her winters helping run her families Sled Dog tour company in Colorado and her summers fishing the banks of Northern BC rivers. Her first handling experience was at 4 months old at Race to the Sky. 

After years of tours, Teale has high hopes of running the Wyoming state Stage Stop, Yukon Quest and Iditarod.

When she is not on the runners she  enjoys Hunting, Fishing, and Cooking.
